Fragments from the head and upper body of a snake which have been reassembled and restored. It is speculated that the reptile comes from the west pediment of the Hekatompedon and was possibly fixed in one of the drilled holes on the "Three-bodied Daemon’s" chest or arms. The snake is represented with raised head, gaping mouth and a small beard on the lower jaw that emphasises the reptile’s fierce physical appearance. The details of the body are rendered with incisions and highlighted with red, black and green colour.
