Greek Roman Goddess Athena Minerva and Wise Owl - Athenian Tetradrachm - Meander - Rose Gold Plated Coin Pendant - 925 Sterling Silver

Athena Tetradrachm originally minted 431-413 BC and depicting the wise owl. The inscription reads ΑΘΕ, a monogram attributed to the goddess Athena, the virgin goddess of wisdom, who was also the protectress of the city of Athens. Head of Athena right, wearing round earring and crested Attic helmet ornamented with three olive leaves above visor and spiral palmette on bowl. Almond shaped almond eye as in archaic depictions of the goddess.
Meander symbolizes as well the bonds of friendship, of love and devotion and that’s the reason it’s often given as marriage gift. It can symbolize as well the four cardinal points, the 4 seasons, waves – especially in the round version of it, or snakes, among others.
It was made in Greece, diameter size is 33mm and weighs approximately 13 g. This pendant is without the chain.
