Bell-shaped Female Figurine with legs. Handmade. Bell-shaped body with plastic chest statement, high neck ending in a bird-shaped head. Earrings would hang from the large, perforated ears. The hands in a gesture of surface or prayer giving evenly flattened protuberances with seven fingers. The big toes end in five and six fingers, respectively. At the top of the head there is a suspension. Red glaze was used to decorate clothes and shoes. From Thebes, early 7th century BC. This idol was the source of inspiration for the mascots of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, Phoebus and Athens.
