ANCIENT GREEK BRONZE SHIELD

The shield, aspis in Greek, was carried by Greek infantry of various periods and is often referred to as a hoplon. This shield, as with all our other bronze items, are cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method, therefore each piece is unique. It was made in Greece, diameter is 28 centimeters and weighs approximately 4 kg.
