Symbol of mystery and the guardian of sacred places. The mythical sphinx had the face of a woman, the body of a lion and the wings of a bird of prey. In Greek mythology, the enigmatic sphinx was associated with Oedipus, to whom she posed her famous riddle. In Egyptian mythology, the sphinx was the guardian of sacred places. This figure, as with all our other bronze items, are cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method, therefore each piece is unique. It was made in Greece, stands 16 centimeters high, 16 centimeters width, and weighs approximately 1.7 kg.
