ATHENA PROMACHOS

The Athena Promachos ("Athena who fights in the front line") was a colossal bronze statue of Athena sculpted by Pheidias, which stood between the Propylaea and the Parthenon on the Acropolis of Athens. Athena, in her capacity as goddess of strategy in war. Here with her helmet and aegis. In her left hand she would have held a shield, in her right, a spear. This figure, as with all our other bronze items, are cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method, therefore each piece is unique. It was made in Greece, stands 34 centimeters high, 17 centimeters width, and weighs approximately 3 kg.
