Aphrodite of Milos, better known as the Venus de Milo, is an ancient Greek statue and one of the most famous works of ancient Greek sculpture. Created sometime between 130 and 100 BCE, it depicts Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty (Venus to the Romans). Aphrodite is the Greek Goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. Her Roman equivatent is the goddess Venus. According to Hesiods theogony, she was born when Cronus cut off Uranuss genitals and threw them into the sea, and she arose from the sea foam. It is currently on permanent display at the Louvre Museum in Paris. This statue, as with all our other bronze items, are cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method, therefore each piece is unique. It was made in Greece, stands 84 centimeters high, 22 centimeters width, and weighs approximately 25 kg.
